To be pissed off with a blocked ear

I've had a blocked ear since the end of last week. One ear is really bad, the other feels blocked but not as much. I don't think it's wax related, possibly sinus related as I've been feeling pressure across the bridge of my nose. I've also tried the wax removers and nothing.

I've looked at decongestants but they all seem to mention blocked noses which I don't have, although I do have a bit of a sniffle.

Would it be worth trying anyway? Already spent a small fortune on wax treatments so loathe to buy loads more things if they dont work.

Any other suggestions?

I developed a very painful ear a few days after testing positive for Covid. Three courses of antibiotics and a myriad of pain relief later the pain has gone but the blocked sensation remains. Convinced myself it was blocked with wax but saw a GP who confirmed it was not blocked, no wax in there at all and the infection was gone. I’ve been told (by various GP’s) to take hayfever and sinus relief, and also do a daily nasal rinse, as it’s all linked. This has been going on for two months now. It’s better than it was in so much as I do have some periods of time when it feels like it’s cleared a bit (today back to feeling totally blocked) Many people I’ve spoken to have had a similar experience and it just takes time to sort its self out.
