To ask if this could be a UTI?

Posting here for traffic. I’ve never had a UTI and I don’t have symptoms as bad as I’ve heard people say! I need to pee really frequently but it doesn’t hurt when I go. However I have a burning feeling in general but not when I go to the bathroom. So that’s confusing me. It feels generally painful around the area but again not when I pass urine. I have some random on/off tummy pains but I still have an appetite etc. Has anyone had similar that turned out to be a UTI?

Hello - it’s worth getting checked by a GP esp if you haven’t had a UTI before. They will be able to check your urine with a dipstick for infection while you are at the surgery and will check for any other symptoms

I have dipsticks in my bathroom cabinet for just such an occasion. You can buy them from a pharmacy. You can quickly test your urine yourself.

@AFineBalance Thank you for this. I’ve never had one before so I’m a bit clueless about them! I know general symptoms but no personal experience. I couldn’t find anything on Google
about the burning/pain when NOT peeing - it all just mentions during it. But I’ll keep an eye on it.

Could be thrush or BV or something else. I’d go for doctor appt. As pp says you can test for uti yourself but I’d say that’s more suitable if you have had one before and need to double check.
