We used it a lot last summer when it was too hot to open the windows and it made a noticeable difference to the freshness of the living room. Being indoors with windows and curtains shut, a room can get stuffy but that wasn't an issue when it was running. Didn't time how long it was used at a time, but probably about six hours.

I used one in the bedroom when I was having chemotherapy. The smell of the chemo leaked out of my pores and smelt awful.
My some now uses it in my granddaughters bedroom because it helps her with her hay fever
