EXPIRED MILK

DD Age 3 was drinking milk all day and all night last night we've been hit with cold and virals. There was clearly old carton in the fridge with date JAN 15, I've only just noticed after stupidly giving it her to us morning too, she's no I'll symptoms other than the cold which we've had for days. It looks and smells ok, and also tastes fine. Will this be ok?? Or do I need to call 111 - I know with no symptoms 111 won't do anything but I ridiculously googled and it says bacteria can still grow and be dangerous before the milk spoils.

It was Aldi whole milk.

It will be fine. I use milk way past its date - as long as it looks/smells/tastes okay it's fine.

If it looks and smells fine it probably was.

Im also sure your 3 year old would have spat it out if it was off. Off milk tastes rancid

If you didn't notice anything wrong with the smell or texture, it will be fine. Milk is pretty good at telling you when it's off!

Thanks guys, sorry with all the illnesses we've had recently I was just so worried this would be another thing to worry about. It's been over 24 hours since she first had some so hoping it's all ok.

Dd (then 6ish) once got given a glass of off milk, she spat it out straight away and said it was fizzy.

I think it'll be fine
