Children loitering

Name changed for this one..

I live in a block of flats. Secured by a locked door at the front entrance only way in is with a key or to be buzzed in by someone who lives here.

However, recently there has been children between the ages of 12 and 16 loitering in the stairwell, at first this didn’t concern me as they were just moved on. But recently the lock was changed and I thought this would be the end of the matter.

But late last night they were back. Making loads of noise whilst my kids were trying to sleep. Unfortunately this time I wasn’t so kind and I shouted at them to please leave, they are not welcome here and they do not live here. I know this because I asked previously. They did as they were asked and I basically said if I see them again I will be reporting this.

On my return from the shops earlier.. they were back. This time it was the older children. I seen red and lost the rag and told them I was tired of seeing them hanging around in my stairwell causing trouble, I just want to come home and be able to walk in my flat peacefully. They have a key so I have no idea what I can do about this. My children are scared because they literally don’t move when trying to walk past them and take up the whole hallway.

What can I do about this? Just keep telling them to leave? Or should I report this to the people that own the building?

Any advice please? Thank you 😊

Just thought I would add they have electric bikes that take up a lot of space too. I know children are bored and there isn’t anything to do and are trying to keep out of the wet/cold but they are being a nightmare.

Trespassing. Ring local street wardens or non emergency police no?

I rang the non emergency line today and they said there isn’t much they can do.
