Reported via the BBC that Police Scotland have said:

“Isla Bryson’s offences will not be recorded in the official crime statistics as offences perpetrated by a man”

So will be recorded as a woman’s crime.

NO. Not our crimes.

This cannot stand.

I’m beyond angry. I don’t know what to do, I don’t know how to protest.

HELP

His crime is being recorded as committed by a man since it happened before ‘he transitioned’ Daily Record.

There have been various women convicted of rape over the years

www.theguardian.com/uk/2001/mar/17/sarahhall

www.cps.gov.uk/mersey-cheshire/news/woman-jailed-life-rape-and-sexual-abuse-young-girl

They are few, but they do exist.

I also have a male friend who has had a women force herself on him, but as the definition of rape is a legal definition, that was not considered rape.

The poster was correct in that rape is defined in law as penetration by a penis. A woman does not rape.
However, a woman can procure or participate in or encourage an attack on a woman that constitutes rape or involves rape and be found guilty of the offence of rape by reason of being involved in joint enterprise.

If anyone's up for starting a petition about this for it to be discussed in parliament , please see my post on the Feminism discussion board. Your name will be published with the petition and mine is too unusual and would be completely outing. If there are any people with not so unusual names who would be willing to take the baton, please do. I've supplied the link and all the answers to what they ask.

Heard this last night on the news, I was appalled.

hryllilegur · 27/01/2023 12:52

It’s the whole ‘make the statistics meaningless and then claim there’s no evidence’ trick.

Thanks for posting this, clearly any discussion of/requests for information on women convicted needs to allow for this.

This and much more has been discussed on the feminism board for years.

Can you now see why we are so angry?

It's not all about being kind and letting people use any toilet they want.

Got to the board have a read. Most of it will sadly shock you even more.

This thread is a good starting point -

And it is important to remember the very great difference in the percentage of crimes committed by men compared to those committed by women.
(Please would someone fill that in?)

So those women convicted of rape because they aided and abetted it, vile as they are, can’t really be used as an example of ‘but women rape too’ except as an interesting fact.

And that men who believe or say they are women have the same offending rate as ordinary men or possibly higher.

kagerou · 27/01/2023 13:09

They should make a separate category for recording crimes of trans men and trans women. I don't think anyone would have a problem with that (would still be recording people's preference for gender and accurately recording their lived existence while also providing some very useful statistics)

Next time you are told to follow the science, show them this. These people don’t want you to follow science, they want you to follow propaganda.

Yes, we were told to be guided by the science (until it stopped being convenient) all through Covid. Why aren’t politicians being guided by the science now? You can change your identity all you like, in ways as extreme as you like, but you cannot, ever, change your sex.

But women are incapable of rape, so it’s impossible that it’s a female crime.

If men can legally become women (which they now can) and do so without changing their genitals (this is not necessary under the law to change sex 🤔 ) then voilà - women can have penises and can commit rape. Progress innit.

So wait a minute. He isn't going to be in a woman's prison but will be recorded as a woman? What an effing joke.

Not sure what you mean 'slow hand clap Scotland' @AndyWarholsPiehole - most of us are against it as polls show.

True.but too any keep voting Sturgeon and her merry band in.power. For that, Scots deserve the slow hand clap.

Failingatthemoment · 18/05/2023 15:46

Surely common sense states if a "woman with a penis" ( ridiculous term but there you go) commits the crime then it's rape??!!!!
