Reported via the BBC that Police Scotland have said:

“Isla Bryson’s offences will not be recorded in the official crime statistics as offences perpetrated by a man”

So will be recorded as a woman’s crime.

NO. Not our crimes.

This cannot stand.

I’m beyond angry. I don’t know what to do, I don’t know how to protest.

HELP

Maybe someone actually has the right idea, if he was recorded amongst the mens crime figures it would just be lost and forgotten about.
But recording it as a 'women' crime then it becomes very obvious how many of these 'women' are dangerous to actual females.

The more that is exposed the sooner the tide turns. I don't think I'm making myself clear but I know what I'm trying to say.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the response to this petition was released a few hours ago.

Long story short… the answer is no.

“Under the Equality Act 2010, providers are already able to restrict the use of spaces/services on the basis of sex and/or gender reassignment where justified. Further clarification is not necessary.”

If the signatures get to 100,000, the Government are asked to have a debate about it in Parliament which is why there is a push for more signatures.

This isn't anything to do with Scotland, or proposed changes. The case was heard under current law in line with Westminster and crime statistics have been skewed for this reason in the whole of uk for many years now.
Yes it's an issue but remain clear about which issue you are tackling.

England and Scotland now have different systems for recording statistics due to a Home Office change -

They were a man when he committed the crime and surely that's what counts even with all this transgende ideology? Same as age, you were 30 when you commented the crime, surely that's what gets put in the statistics nit the fact that you were 35 when you were caught and tried?

You have a point.

Calling him a woman is gaslighting and like a coercive control of the victims. Calling him a woman is a crime against the victims. It’s abusive.

OneFrenchEgg · 27/01/2023 07:50

I can't get my head round it. How we have arrived at a state where sex and gender (because I don't care if someone male/female wants to dress in the opposte stereotypical way, change their name etc) aren't completely separate with separate clear 'rights'.
I also feel for all those who don't want to identify as the opposite gender but others view them as doing so based on stereotypes.

MiaMoor · 27/01/2023 07:52

I read a few weeks ago that in countries that already have self ID they are not reporting crimes as TW or male crimes, and once in female prison no sex offences are being recorded at all, so whilst statistically there are likely to be problems, they’re ignored.

No evidence = no problem.

All those times that we're told that other countries have self ID and it works fine, well we don’t know, because any poor behaviour is swept under the carpet.
I believe there are female prisoners speaking out, but those who need to listen are not.

As always I wonder how any of this got any traction at all. What agenda is pushing this?
When will more women finally stand up to this misogynistic movement?

sst1234 · 27/01/2023 07:53

Next time you are told to follow the science, show them this. These people don’t want you to follow science, they want you to follow propaganda.

ScrollingLeaves · 27/01/2023 00:44

This in itself is a crime.

He is not only a man now, he even called himself a man when he did it. He did it with a penis.

Then once this crime is recorded as being a woman’s, they’ll say there is ‘no evidence’ to suggest that men who say they are women commit crimes. What’s to see? ‘No man did that’. ‘What are you talking about? ‘

This is living under a dystopian totalitarian system.

Please would all you angry people sign this petition to Update the Equality Act to make clear that the protected characteristic ‘sex’ means biological sex?

This man is not and never will be a woman by sex and no man will ever be. Men commit 98% of violent crimes. Men who say they are women have the same offending rates as ordinary men. Most men who say they are women retain their penis.

Let the Government start with making the language about what sex means - pure biology male and female - absolutely clear.

I heard the BBC reporter say that on the BBC news last night but she was speaking so quickly I wondered if she had got the words "man" and "woman" mixed up. They certainly didn't follow up on it, which would be odd if it's true: reporting on the decision not to put him in a woman's prison but then say the crime won't be recorded as a man - a reporter would make an issue of that.

So I think she possibly made a rushed mistake and I won't believe it unless it's published in a proper article and not a transcript of the TV news report.

Clymene · 27/01/2023 07:56

At the moment there are 25 times more men incarcerated in Scotland than women. There are fewer than 300 women in prison and a very very tiny number of those have committed sexual offences.

Hideous

I would love to know the transgender communities respond/opinion on this. Surely they can see this isn't right as well and isn't how they want their cause highlighted.

Sugarfree23 · 27/01/2023 07:58

I've two thoughts on that, it's either predatory males who want to open the door to all female spaces, or it's someone attacking Western Society.

I can't imagine the trans movement has much traction in the likes of China or Russia.

piedbeauty · 27/01/2023 07:58

I heard that in the news and was shouting at the tv. Stupid, stupid.

Calling him a woman is gaslighting and like a coercive control of the victims. Calling him a woman is a crime against the victims. It’s abusive.

Up until recently the judicial system required victims to use preferred pronouns in court, under the Equal Treatment Bench Book. A woman violently attacked by a transwoman was forced to refer to her attacker as her in court and iirc had her compensation reduced by the judge as punishment for not doing so. A recent amendment thankfully (hopefully) has changed that -

Women are still having to hear their attackers referred to by their preferred pronouns by the media due to IPSO rules -

I’ve never protested against anything in my life but since seeing this on the news last night I am fully prepared to go and super glue myself to whatever needed.
I can’t describe the anger and utter bewilderment! How fucking DARE they!?!?!?

RudsyFarmer · 27/01/2023 08:01

I’m reading through the comments and you can see the Penny starting to drip with some of these TWAW activists. It’s a movement that seemed initially to be exactly the same as gay rights but it’s very slowly dawning on naturally left leaning, educated people that this cause ISN’T quite the same (which is what we’ve been saying for years).

BabyStopCryin · 27/01/2023 08:03

If he was a woman he could not have committed these crimes.

What am I missing?

Workerbeep · 27/01/2023 08:06

@DoughnutDreams It has everything to do with scotland because it has happened in Scotland.

it happens in England? Ok, Aunt Nicola and her cronies could have been different; they keep harping on about how bloody unique, righteous and much better Scotland is.

how is this falsifying of records be allowed to happen? Where are the gate keepers? No better than flat Earthers, except their opinions are really quite inconsequential.

Well we the electorate allowed it to happen and yes I am Scottish and live on Scotland.

RebeccaCloud9 · 27/01/2023 08:07

Surely, SURELY he was just trying to get away with pretending to be a woman to get access to female prisons/get away with it? Why are people calling him a woman at all? It's a total f-ing farce.

Workerbeep · 27/01/2023 08:09

@RebeccaCloud9 Ah but SNP Shona Robison and her pal NS said that would NEVER happen.
