My worst week as a mum - ever

I posted a couple of days ago about my son who is almost 19 getting sacked from his job. Feel such a failure as a mum.

Yesterday we found out my daughter aged 13 has been self harming, obviously been going on for a while.

Why am I such a shit parent?

You are not a bad mother. It is not your fault your son lost his job. Try and talk to your daughter and get to the root of the problem, not always easy. Be good to yourself.

TBH, your self deprecation won’t be helping one bit. Kids pick up on that, and they allow it to reflect on themselves.

We have a face to face appointment next week for my daughter regarding the self harming.

My older one I just don't know what I've done wrong. He's never been brought up to think it's ok to skive work etc. it's so disheartening tbh.

Om just having a wee freak out I guess. My youngest is 8. What is he going to do?!
