I usually have the same woman collect, iron and return my ironing every 2/3 weeks. Have used her for a year now and prior to that for 3 years, the same company as she bought them out iykiwm...

Well the lasy few times she comes she makes me feel bad for giving her my ironing . Comments "my what a load", "why do you always have so much washing" etc.....

Just fecks me off really....I know I could go elsewhere BUT tbh I have got stuck in a rut with it iykwim.....

Im also slightly miffed as the last lot that went 3 weeks ago, around 8 items went missing..thing is I never realised and called her for a differnt issue only for her to answer the phone with "oh are you calling about your missing washing" Told her I never realised..to which she replied "oh thats because you have no many clothes" . Told me she was delayed in bringing it back as she was busy...(I only found out 5 days after returned ironing YET it took her another 2 days to return it..)

DH thinks shes trying to slying do away with stuff.....but I am to trusting....

FFS, I have dh, me, a toddler and 1 yr old so how much washing does she think is created..?

Thanks for the comments everyone. Well dh did suggest a cleaner/ironer BUT tbh the quotes we have had are stupid..would rather do the cleaning myself BUT the ironing..........I also hate it...I find it so boring and demoralising (sp..)..you wear clothes, wash, iron..then it starts over again...Would rather have disposable clothes .

Hmmmmm...............so seems everyone would get rid....I know its the best answer...jelliebelly, I did think of sending it weekly BUT it seems hassle iykwim...the bag would only be 1/3 full and it would mean me waiting in for her to collect then waiting 2 days for it to come back and to wait in again......

Mum has offered to do it (used to do it prior to dd and when I was expecting dd) but I hate having her do it and paying her..makes me feel ashamed ...

bozza - LOL, I know, we all have our pet hates around the house .

I'm a very tidy person and I tend to clean up as I go, so the ironing is really the one big discrete task in our household apart from the windows (really big) and shutters - I get a specialist window cleaning firm to come in and clean those.

you should probably ask around other ironing ladies to see what service they provide. Ours picks up ironing on a tuesday evening and delivers in back on wednesday evening - if we are not going to be in (which is v.rare with a 2 yo in bed at 7pm!)we arrange different days. No hassle involved in that but maybe we are lucky to have found her!!

..should also say I am v.jealous that you have enough clothes to last 2/3 weeks and not notice what comes back
