YOU ARE NOT BEING UNREASONABLE. 2 months is still so little. Mum calls the shots, and besides, newborns are super vulnerable little beings that NEED you close, they are not fun little dolls for family to squabble over. Your MIL doesn't pass the vibe check if she doesn't get it. I felt the same pressure when DS was small, but no one was allowed to take him for more than a walk round the block - They could have all the cuddles they wanted in the house with him. Looking back now, it was absolutely the right call. It's not long before they're toddlers, everyone else can wait their turn.
