Is this going to be bad news?

Posting for traffic but aibu to be 💩ing myself because of this?

Had a skin biopsy recently and was told I'd get the results in the post. All fine. However I got a call this morning scheduling a face to face consultation with the surgeon to discuss my results.

Do I need to take someone with me? Is this going to be bad news?

Honestly yes I'd take someone . It might not be bad news but they obviously want to discuss something. I had this and it turned out to be a cyst but they got me in very quickly which scared me a bit because I know how these things work .

It’s impossible to tell. It could just be that that consultant prefers to give results in person. Or it could be that they need to do further tests. I would maybe take someone with you if you can, just in case. I have everything crossed for you. I won’t say don’t worry because that’s impossible I know. But it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s bad news.

Honestly?

Yes the chances are it's something that needs treatment. It could be cancer or it could be something else that needs treatment.

But know that having cancer doesn't automatically mean you are going to be very unwell. Especially with skin cancer, it's commonly found and cured now with nothing more than an a day operation.

Stay strong, hope for the best but be prepared. All the best x

Thanks all. I won't go alone!

When I got a suspicious mole removed they made me come in for the results just to tell me all was ok. So inefficient for everyone!

I think they’d call you themselves if it was completely fine
