Cramping AFTER ovulation - is this normal?

Hello,

Sorry for posting again.
I've now passed ovulation - 2dpo - however I'm having period style cramps....

I'm ttc but it's obviously far too early for any type of implantation etc so I'm not necessarily symptom spotting. I know you can get cramps with ovulation (this isn't something I tend to experience) so it's concerning me a bit that I am quite crampy.

Does anyone else experience this AFTER ovulation?

Thank you 🙏

How do you know you're 2dpo? Are you using the ovulation stick things? I'd assume there's always room for error and you can never really know when you ovulated, so it's possible you're a day or two later. But also, I get ovulation pains every month and from what I've read they don't necessarily indicate the exact day you're ovulating - so I think they can happen either before or after.

What are you feeling worried about?

Totally normal.

Progesterone is a swine for causing cramping - it rises post ovulation.

@Starsnspikes

Yes using ovulation sticks. I don't tend to get ovulation pains as such.

I'm worrying as I have a long history of fertility issues unfortunately. I've just had surgery to remove adhesions from around my ovaries so that's why the cramps were concerning me :(

@Amybelle88

I had no idea progesterone caused cramping!
