Regret taking on extra work

I'm working 39h in total this week which I know isn't even that much in a lot of people's eyes.
i work 2 different jobs and pick up agency work as extra.
Today I worked from 10:15-2:15 and I'm now working 4-10.
Tomorrow I was meant to be on just 4-10 but I've picked up 8:15-3 , then the 4-10.
I'm having to get an taxi which will cost me £25 to get from one job to another, so I'll be paid 110 for the 8-3 but 85 because I'm losing money with the taxi.
Wednesday is 4-10, as is Thursday, friday is 10:30-12:30 and then 4-10 again.
Weekend is off.
Out from 8:30-11pm today and tomorrow, no time to cook, clean etc.
Maybe I'm overreacting, but i shouldn't have taken on the extra.

Is it not a possibility to drop one job and increase your hours at the other, or find one job that meets your needs?

Judging by the hours you're working I'm assuming it's not due to childcare

You've done it now though so just honour it and plough on through to the week-end. Lesson learnt, don't over-stretch yourself again.

I have 2 permanent jobs but they only total to 34h so I need an extra 4 or 5 per week. I do need to just find one place.

Sounds logistically difficult and exhausting, even though it’s just an average number of hours, as you have awkward gaps between shifts and are travelling to different places, plus you probably don’t get much of a break within each shift as they’re quite short.

At least you have a couple of short days and the weekend off, so it’s not all terrible, I would probably plough through until I found a better arrangement.

10 to 10 isn't hideous as dh works 12 hour shifts but starting at 8 is a very long day

You're working hard Brew
I hope you find something less complicated soon!

What is it that you do? I agree with the pp, the massive gaps in-between your shifts is the killer. I work 50-60 hours a week but I'm out of the house less time than you.
