That is not a chocolate cake.

Looks great.

Tastes good for a supermarket cake.

Costs up to around £25

Thanks

I would go to M&S.

Benusdemilo · 23/01/2023 15:13

Waitrose for a Fiona Cairns cake.

DrMarciaFieldstone · 23/01/2023 15:15

M&S

Iamthewombat · 23/01/2023 15:19

M&S all day long. Their cakes taste better.

PaddyDingDong · 23/01/2023 15:20

I really like Sainsburys cakes

Hillarious · 23/01/2023 15:20

Or try a local bakery.

crackersforcrackers · 23/01/2023 15:59

M&S!

GiltEdges · 23/01/2023 16:00

Waitrose

FuckoffeeBeforeCoffee · 23/01/2023 16:00

Costco.

noworklifebalance · 23/01/2023 16:04

Have ordered nice M&S cakes from their online food service and you chose the date and store location you want to collect from. Price depends on how many you want it to serve

Cococomellonn · 23/01/2023 16:08

M&S cakes are nice such as the rainbow cake

Costco cakes are good but only if you have already got membership

That’s a good call actually. They are even nicer than the cakes you can buy in the stores.

waveyc · 23/01/2023 16:10

Could you get to a Costco? Their cakes are really nice

Boxshibe · 23/01/2023 16:10

Waitrose.

Meredusoleil · 23/01/2023 16:18

The Cake Box. They taste so light, as they are egg free and look great too!

Cake Box is not a supermarket!

Cake Box is not a supermarket!

That's true! My mistake.

Meredusoleil · 23/01/2023 18:34

That's true! My mistake.

But then neither is Costco technically. They are wholesalers I believe?

harrassedmumto3 · 23/01/2023 18:34

I remember buying a Costco cake for my daughter's birthday a few years back. The sponge never went stale, even when uncovered! It seemed a bit artificial to me.

HufflepuffRavenclaw · 23/01/2023 18:37

Costco cakes are so foul and artificial that even calling them cake should be against the trades description act.

Any basic madeira cake will do the job.

evemillbank · 23/01/2023 18:43

M&S

PinkTonic · 23/01/2023 19:01

I would have said either Waitrose or M&S but recently I bought a Victoria sponge from Waitrose, same price point and similar packaging to the M&S one and it wasn’t in the same league. So M&S all day long, plus there’s loads of choice if you order online.

ScarletUnderkill · 23/01/2023 19:04

Morrisons used to do a fantastic cupcake cake with chocolate beans inside as the magic surprise. The cake itself was nice but there was a lot of icing overkill TBH.

TheObstinateHeadstrongGirl · 23/01/2023 19:06

Asda have a great collection in shapes of various things. We once got a burger and chips shaped cake

salamanderturtle · 23/01/2023 19:07

Definitely M&S
