Can someone take my tooth out ??

Arghhhh I could scream

have had non stop issues with my tooth for 18 months , had various different opinions about whether it was infected or not as the x rays didn’t seem to be clear cut .. had the root canal after waiting almost a year due to covid and waiting lists and every bit of bad luck possible and after the rct they said it was infected after all , it was ok for a week then bad again .. I have had on and off problems since the root canal treatment. Have had countless antibiotics before and after the root canal and the recent prescription before xmas after the RCT actually seemed to sort the problem … I’ve woken up today and the toothache is back. It’s definitely that same tooth (I can feel it when I push it and bite on it) and it’s a horrible general dull throbbing ache from it.

i was advised not to lose the tooth without trying everything possible because we didn’t know the exact source of the pain and the dentist didn’t think there was a problem with the tooth and didn’t want to whack it out only for the pain to be something else, I’ve had TN ruled out already and the dentist isn’t sure what else it is because the tooth is fine and I’ve had all the specialist x rays and he doesn’t think the tooth is the problem but also isn’t sure what it could be

when the pain was at its worst it was across my cheek, in my ear and I felt like I had been smashed in the face with a 10k weight, and I had stabbing pain from that individual tooth . It’s not that bad today but it’s achey and sore and I’m dreading it worsening again like last time

I just want to scream because now it’s bloody starting all over again, I’ll go back to the dentist this week when they can fit me in, and in the meantime I’ll try and not remove it myself with plies because I’m at the stage I’ll do anything for relief

sorry don’t know why I’m posting but I’m absolutely fed up ( if anyone can smash it out for me I would be very grateful- joking, I think!)

In "Tom Sawyer" he tied a string round his aching tooth and then attached the string to a doorknob and then slammed the door quickly.
I have never tried this myself.

Can you get a referral to a good dental hospital? It may just be that your dentist is crap. Root canals are notorious for going wrong.

Can you get a second opinion? My dentist was adamant there was no infection in my tooth, but when I went to another dentist for a second opinion, there was clear infection deep in the roots.

I’m so tempted .. absolutely fed up of it and just want to smash this tooth out my face (bit harsh but you get what I mean)

Weirdly I had lots of different opinions on it before the root canal and nobody seemed to be able to agree what was going on .. when we did the RCT it seemed it was infected after all .. but now since the root canal I’ve still had problems and I’ve had different opinions from 5 different dentists including my usual and nobody can find a reason for the pain - starting to worry my face will never be free of this pain and we’ll never find a reason and a way to fix it arghhh

Get yourself a referral to the Eastman Hospital on Charing Cross Road. My friend went there after a bad root canal and had it redone at the hospital.
