£320

4 bed with inefficient insulation and sash windows, Aga (gas)

4 people

3 bed terrace, dual fuel, £60 a month, £500 in credit.

My supplier cancelled my direct debit because the government top up covered the payments but I reinstated it to build up a credit.

17 Dec- 16 Jan = £119. Exact meter readings

3 bed, 1st floor ex council flat. 2 adults 2 children and our heating has been on a lot!

thebellagio · 24/01/2023 17:57

I’ve been paying £85 for electricity and £87 for gas so I’d built up loads of credit on each

my nov usage said I used £64 elec and £101 gas which raised to £79 elec / £171 gas in dec and currently £58 elec and £111 for January.

bizarrely when BG did their dd review last week they said my electricity was fine but my gas needed to increase to £125. But I was £200+ in credit so they’ve refunded me £125 and left me £75 in credit. Surely that showed my previous £87 was bang on because it will only be 2 more months till the gas decreases as spring arrives!!!

We pay £400 a month on DD

Townhouse, about £100 per month and keep it fairly warm. I was surprised myself after my last meter reading when my direct debit came down.

hattie43 · 24/01/2023 18:14

£466

Last month was 225 for gas and electric in a 4 bed house but radiators off in 1 room. I didn't think that was too horrific considering what I have read. I am careful with it but had the heating on loads over Christmas week.

Just had a six month bill from EDF.

£985 for gas and electric.

Electricity has averaged £95 p/m.
Gas for October - December = £380
January (3 weeks) = £155 (£215 projected for entire month)

We're now £275 in credit.

19°C overnight

20°C daytime

21°C evening

£445 on dd. Our central heating has been fucked though since the start of December, the boiler has been running constantly through the day to keep the house at a balmy 14°c so fuck knows what that's going to cost. Hopefully the engineer has finally fixed it today, as the house if finally warm and the thermostat is kicking in.
Dreading the bill though.
