What are people doing these days re covid testing? Are we treating it as a cold? Are we testing and then isolating? I'm not asking for the official guidance, I can find that, just interested to know what people are doing??

My AIBU - I am feeling under the weather and have a cough but feel fine to crack on with life. Would I BU to crack on with plans and not test???

I always test, however I feel, before hospital appointments and visiting my gran in her nursing home. I just tend to try and stay indoors as much as possible with a cold but don't test, but also don't worry if I need to pop to the supermarket

Not testing, acting the same as I would if I was ill pre 2020

i always test. kids too. if a cold goes around the whole family i just test the first one to get ill, then assume everyone else has the same bug.

Not testing. The lateral flow tests failed their Liverpool trial. I never understood why they were rolled out nationally. If you have a temperature or heavy cold stay at home. If you have a slight sniffle, crack on. Also a swear by saline nasal rinses for hitting colds before they get bad. I haven't missed a day's work for about a decade.

We test before seeing elderly relatives, medical appointments and when seeing vulnerable friends. When we show symptoms or have been around people with symptoms

Same as this over here too!

No testing. I’ve had days this winter where I’ve felt rough enough to stay in bed and days where I’ve cracked on. Back to pre-Covid sanity.

Not been testing all. The only time I probably would is if I was visiting someone in hospital or old and poorly.
