Cows milk for 11 month old

baby is exactly 11m. Exclusively breastfed plus has food etc. has cows milk in cooking too. He hates formula! Has anyone given their baby cows milk at 11 months and they’ve been ok?!

@Emmamoo89 Maybe the advice has changed but when my DC were small (youngest is 10 now) I was advised by HV team that a 6m+ baby may not get enough vitamins from breastmilk now that they're bigger, and to give drops. Abidec were the ones recommended to us.
Obviously formula is fortified so FF babies should get enough in their milk.

My health visitor just asked what vitamins I'm taken and that's it. I did do the vit D drops in the beginning but stopped them.

Vitamin D is recommended from birth if breastfeeding. Vitamins A, C and D are recommended from 6 months to supplement if baby is taking less than 500mls of formula.

And to the OP, cows milk would be fine to give alongside food and breastfeeds

My little boy was 10 months when he started having cows milk. He went to see the health visitor for a review and she mentioned that because he was having less than 20oz formula a day (he only had 9oz on a morning and 9oz before bed) he could also have cows milk! Was a godsend as he started sleeping really good too, he was a good sleeper before but this was even better!!

At 11 months my DD didn’t want formula or breastmilk anymore but had a small cup of cows milk. It’s completely fine. There is job difference giving some now vs 3 weeks.
