Help! Having a nightmare with my 10 month old dd. She's been in the next to me crib since birth in the bedroom with us and she's now outgrown it. I thought it would be a good time to move her into her own room and her cot but she hated it. Wouldn't nap or even play in there. I was advised that it was perhaps too much change in one go so as an interim measure I've got a travel cot and put it where the next to me went (still in with us). She seems to hate this too though. I know that change inevitably will upset them but she's gone from being such a good sleeper to an absolute nightmare to settle. I don't know how we'll ever get her in her own room. I'm not a fan of controlled crying but I see no other way. There's nothing wrong with her and she's exhausted but just fighting against sleep because it's a new sleeping environment. I had thought the travel cot (being quite similar to a next to me, just bigger) would be ok but she's going absolutely crazy in it. Any advice on how to manage sleep transitions? My older dc all went from next to me to cot to bed with no issues.
