I had a NHS dental hospital appointment today where I was provided non-cosmetic Botox to treat TMD chronic pain
The consultant was slightly worried about vascular occlusion; he stopped the treatment, asked me to return tomorrow to see him and to send photos of the area through the hospital’s emergency contact details. He kept checking/massaging my face until he was happy for me to go home.
Ending up sending over photos to the emergency contact as the area is very bruised but may be slightly blanched (with no other symptoms). They said it is probably bruising and to use a heat compress and the consultant will contact me in the morning.
Aibu as the hospital has given reassurance but I can’t help but feel scared? I’m so tired but can’t sleep in case it IS an occlusion and gets worse. Any advice?
