My dh has Muscular Dystrophy and while looking at the website I found out about a blood test ds can have to find out if he has it. (DH was diagnosed at 9 years old) Surely gp or hv should have informed us this test was available?
Does anyone know how we find out if its available on NHS? I have made an appoitment with gp but not until Thurs afternoon.

The NHS direct website has a big section on muscular dystrophy here. It discusses the blood tests, which would suggest to me that you can get them on the NHS. At least you can learn about the blood tests, so that you can have an educated and thoughtful discussion with the GP. I'm sure it's very frustrating to wait, but I'm sure you'd have to go through the GP anyway.
Good luck, I hope you get the tests and the results are good.
