Curious about Harry / Meghan threads

Why is it that the (very personal) threads about Harry and Meghan are left up but when anyone starts a thread to slate other public figures, the threads are taken down for being ‘not in the spirit’ or whatever? Why is this not hypocritical?

People reading Daily Fail, Sun etc. Unfortunately rage sells and people buy into it .

As far as, Mumsnet policies, I can't read the whole article, but seems Mumsnet is aware, but not sure why they aren't doing more www.telegraph.co.uk/women/life/mumsnet-founder-users-have-extraordinarily-strong-vitriolic/

I’m not talking about deleting factual information. I’m talking about threads that invite the following responses…

“He comes across as thick as mince”

“He has no awareness of boundaries. At all. What a pillock.”

“If anyones kids need help, it's Harry's. A father that delusional and bitter, I feel sorry for his kids.”

“If Harry hadn't been the spare and the privilege of being born into that family he'd have been fortunate to hold down a job in McDonald's, quite frankly. He'd still be the same whining baby too, and nothing would have been his fault”.

These are just from the first two pages on one thread… I couldn’t bear to read the rest. Is it not bullying?

No it isn't bullying, it's commenting (harshly) on his behaviour. Perfectly normal for social media.

I think with some people it’s because it has hit a nerve. I think a lot of the people who are vile about them have probably treated a family member similarly to how Harry and Meghan feel they have been treated (but about different things). They likely have an ostracised family member within their own families. Most people read things about them and move on with their lives. People who are overly invested I think it’s hit a nerve. Probably terrified that Harry will inspire their bullied/hurt family member to start talking.

This has been my thought too, plus RF, PA, and who knows who else might have an interest in keeping it all about H&M, because reporting is so easy for clicks and buying papers, while not having to look pay for any other stories to report on, crazy but who knows!
