Friend has recently had her first baby . Her partner has never been very enthusiastic about the idea of being a father again although he has one other child. they got pregnant. He works full time . He has not picked up baby hardly at all perhaps 5 times in as many weeks . He doesn’t get up at night and is not willing to offer to take baby to give her a break during the day . He is not bonding with the baby at all. He claims he is stressed . Will this get better? Any experiences of hands off dads who improve with the age of the child? I think she should leave him as she’s not getting anything from this situation. It’s difficult to approach him as I don’t really know him. They live abroad.
