I'm 31 and have been told a couple of times I look great 'for my age'. Didn't think I had a lot of age behind me just yet. Probably just people being polite, I'd have expected these sorts of comments more at 50 though!

What age were the people saying it?

She was in her 50s I think.
I could definitely see it coming from an 18 year old who probably thinks 30 is ancient though!

Ha ha! When I was 35 I had a patient who told me every time she saw me “what good skin” I had, which always made me wonder how old she thought I was! I mean, I’ve never had great skin, but it would have been great skin if I’d been in my 60s like her.

Also around the same time I had a 60-year old patient on his 4th wife, and when I joked he’d had my share of weddings as well as his own, he said “I can’t believe you’ve never been married, you must have been quite a looker when you were young”.
