Feel like crying

I’m recently back to work after 9 months maternity and I’ve been fighting the urge to not cry every time I go in. I’m part time and I really like my job so I have no idea why I’m feeling like that. I feel like I could burst into tears but try not to cry. I am not sad about anything, nothing bad is happening and I’m completely fine when I’m at home. Does anyone have any advice on this? I know I should toughen up and get on with work but I feel terrible when I’m there.

This is totally normal! It’s the transition period, you’ve had a different life for 9 months, hormones, being a new mum etc. You say you like your job so please don’t worry, you’ll settle into a routine and you’ll be fine. Xx

I went back this week after Maternity and I did actually burst into tears this morning and had a horrible anxious feeling all day. I still have it now. No actual advice but I know exactly how you feel. I don't hate my job either and I don't know why I have this feeling. I'm hoping it'll ease with time

It’s hard but it gets better. Focus on the positives (adult conversation, no nappies to change, mental stimulation for you)

Thank you so much for the replies.
@Flamingogirl08 sorry you’re experiencing the same. It’s horrible and I’m hoping it will ease too.
