What is everyone's employment maternity ?

Didn't realise my work was so bad !!!! I am shocked.
Would love to know what is the 'norm' not including statutory.

Many non public services are statutory only. There may be omp for senior positions, to aid retention.

Really ?! Do some places not offer better, for example 3-6 months decent pay?

How long do you think is doable on stat these days ?

Full pay for 8 weeks. Half pay + Smp for 15 weeks then smp for the remaining weeks.

Mine recently went up to six months full pay. Was four months previously.

Mine was 6 weeks 90%, 12 weeks 50% then Stay until month 9. I work for a university.

Mine is 22 weeks full pay, then stat till 39 weeks.

My old work changed the policy after I left to 26 weeks full pay, stat till 39 weeks.

Both large, private sector.

1 – 18 weeks - full basic salary
19 – 39 weeks - SMP
40 – 52 weeks- No pay

I'm in the US, so this is just FYI really. When I had my children maternity leave (at full pay) started two weeks before the due date and then lasted until six weeks after the birth (or eight weeks for a C-section).

6 weeks full pay and a further 20 weeks half pay plus smp then 13 weeks smp only.

I think SMP is the most common offering tbh.
I work for a charity and get 12 weeks at 90% after 2.5 years, before that just SMP

I got statutory maternity allowance. Even crapper that statutory maternity pay. I was back to work within 3 months.

Im a solicitor. I got 26 weeks at full pay in my last firm, now it’s 22 weeks at full pay (though much higher salary).

I don't actually know what my employer offers. I do know that they are constantly being asked to equalise the offering for paternity leave, so assume it is enhanced in some way.

When I had my son I had 5 months on full pay and 5 months on half pay.
