What is everyone's employment maternity ?

Didn't realise my work was so bad !!!! I am shocked.
Would love to know what is the 'norm' not including statutory.

Also, depending on what your role is like now, I saved money because I wasn't commuting and wasn't doing stuff like going out for drinks after work.

Maternity leave itself wasn't too bad expenditure wise as tended to go to the £2 a go toddler groups in church halls rather than baby classes or coffee shops. Yes, there's baby stuff to buy but didn't need that much and got most of it secondhand.

Watch out for pension contributions still being paid whilst you're in the unpaid bit of maternity leave too. Mine weren't so we saved up enough to cover those so I didn't have a gap.
