Evri/asos parcel stolen

ADHDPI · 09/01/2023 20:56

That's it really. Just looked at my emails and seen that my delivery from asos was left outside my front door on a terraced street (I live in some old terraced houses quite rurally). When I came home (after the email was sent) there was no parcel. Obviously it has been stolen. Why do they do this? Might add I paid for next day delivery on 27th December and it only just arrived today so not exactly like I should've been expected to be home. Chances of asos refunding any time soon?

ASOS will refund you, they do usually anyway I’ve never had any issues and it’s then between Evri and ASOS, almost every other parcel I get from Evri goes missing now, my heart sinks when I see it’s them being used.

How annoying!

We've resorted to having a big plastic box near our front door for parcel deliveries - this has greatly reduced missing items as the parcels themselves aren't so visible

Ludo19 · 09/01/2023 21:05

I'd personally invest in a video doorbell.

I would but I'm a lone parent, I work full time, I don't really want to go dress shopping with my 4yo and I was given asos vouchers for my birthday...

Asos will refund you. Ring the police and get a crime ref no. Your contract is with asos who need to get the parcel to you.

Postapocalypticcowgirl · 09/01/2023 21:13

ASOS will very likely refund you or send a replacement- just get in touch with them.

It's all very well saying go to the shops, but when you live rurally, there often isn't a great choice.

I feel like it's such a waste of police time, all due to evri being useless. I guessing they won't actually investigate it? (though I guess the courier could have left it then taken it and if they've done this to lots of people and everyone reported it they might hopefully get don't for it. I know this has happened before with evri drivers!)

I can get to the shops but I'm a lone parent to a 4yo and I don't fancy dress shopping with him!

Such an unhelpful response.

GrannyAchingsShepherdsHut · 09/01/2023 21:17

As long as you didn't tell evri to leave it on the doorstep (as a safe place or note on the door, for instance) then asos will need to refund/replace. Your contract is with asos not evri so no point talking to evri.

Nope. There's literally nowhere to. Leave it but on the street! My front basically opens into the road and they left it there. Propped against the door.

ASOS will refund you, go on their online chat via the app, the only thing is you need some patience and free time to get it sorted 😂

They have to take a photo these days of it being handed to you or on your open door step or in your safe place if you have one. If they don’t have this, theres no proof it’s been delivered.

How can you see if you've specified a safe place? I used to have it as my porch in my old house so wonder if I've accidentally left it as this. I don't think so though, and I have no porch so 🤷🏿‍♀️

Oh dear, not everyone lives near to 'the shops'.

SantaBakula · 09/01/2023 21:30

I had the same problem with Evie too jyst before Christmas they left a big box against my front door despite there been a note on my doorstep saying leave itcwith one if two neighbours or put it in the blue wheelie bin. They didn't even leave a card so I didn't know it had been delivered

BIG, shout out to Will at Kitchen Square that responded to my email asking why it hadn't been delivered he got back in touch via email and phone call and between us figured out it had been delivered and stolen.
He got a new one sent out to me just in time for Christmas.

Can you report it online for the crime ref?

Shak274 · 17/01/2023 16:00

Did you get through to ASOS in the end? The same thing happened to me today. I was indoors and I went outside 2mins after I received the email and my parcel (that they claimed was left by the bins) wasn’t there. It’s clear that the courier had gone with it. Thief’s

I had similar with evri where they left it on my doorstep. My order was with JD sports who refused to refund me as 'evri confirmed the item had been delivered' so I had to request it back through my bank.

I don’t recall ever seeing a bricks and mortar ASOS.
