That should keep me going from breakfast to lunch?

  • coconut milk
  • blue berries
  • strawberries
  • peanut butter
  • chia seeds

Yesterday when I went shopping

How about you?

Weird post 😂😂

Glad it’s not just me that thought it was strange 😂

High fat, sugar & carbs and unsubstantial in terms of filling.

picklemewalnuts · 10/01/2023 08:07

Eggs are harder to find than usual in my area. Only the premium brands are available. And possibly caged ones, but I don't look at them.

OP, what are actually asking? I think people are answering the wrong question, judging by your response.

If you are looking for something that's higher in protein and lower in carbs than weetabix, then yes, YANBU.

If you are asking, is this the lowest carb highest protein shake I can make, then YAB a bit U.

There have been no eggs available locally for weeks

picklemewalnuts · 10/01/2023 12:55

4 eggs feels like unheard of luxury round here. People bond over the bare shelf at the supermarket!

Fraine · 10/01/2023 13:27

Goldpanther · 08/01/2023 21:34

Scrambled eggs and veg is one of the most filling high protein low carb breakfasts out there.

However I would have 4 eggs scrambled on 2 bits of toast - carbs aren't bad!

Isn't 3 eggs the recommended daily limit? 4 eggs daily sounds like high cholesterol.

Merryoldgoat · 10/01/2023 15:41

@Fraine

dietary cholesterol has no relation to serum cholesterol.

The egg cholesterol thing was debunked decades ago

What area do you live in?

We don’t have that problem in my area of yorkshire.

I am really shocked there’s been no eggs for weeks, in any area of the Uk. The odd area that this is happening in, is the whole of the Uk though either.

picklemewalnuts · 10/01/2023 18:04

East midlands here. I think we're impacted more by bird flu, perhaps.
This is just off Tesco now. Better than usual as it happens. I've not seen Tesco eggs by the dozen since October. Only half dozen.

@marathonrunn if you want a low carb protein shake, check out The Fast800 website

As well as meal replacement shakes, they now offer protein shakes, which are 3.3g carbs per serving.
