Urgent help! Redundancy related

I think I am about to be made redundant.

The company is a USA based but staff all over the world.

I have less than 2 years service.

If over 20 of us are to be made redundant (globally) do they still need to follow the redundancy rules of uk (collective consultation and a 30 day consultation period)?

I am on a months notice so could they just call me on Monday, give me one month pay and say see ya?

Are you based in the UK? If you’ve got less than 2 years service your unlikely to be entitled to redundancy, they can terminate your contract using your notice period.

As I thought. Thanks. Not looking forward to next week. I think you are right they will just end my contract as I’ve only been there 1 year. Awful but not unexpected sadly. There is likely to be more than just me going.

If it’s 20+ across the world, they won’t trigger collective consultation. I’m afraid they can just give you your notice. Good news is it’s a very buoyant job market
