Seriously who do they think they are?

Move this thread, it's should be in Brexit/The Royals/TV etc

Loads of it at the moment about the Royals.

Most subjects are not in the "correct" place.

All the fucking Christmas ones did my head in, but I didn't feel the need to go on every one and stamp my feet and tell them to put it in the "right" place.

The royals ones are obvious, so just slide your finger over it to hide the thread. You don't even have to open it up.

Do these nutters not realise every time they post "get this thread moved" that they are just bumping it up!

So am i being unreasonable to want them to just fuck off!

Sorry rant over!

And yes YANBU OP. I mostly use FWR and we get a lot of aggressive thread policing (not to move the discussion elsewhere but to create screenshots etc, or to get inconvenient posts/threads deleted), so when I see what you're describing in AIBU, I think those moaning don't know they're born!!

JanusTheFirst · 07/01/2023 11:32

The thread police are the worse kind of curtain twitchers on local forums.

Amazing username

This

Ps. Shouldn't this be in site stuff or flounders corner?

Agreed.

The thread police are self-indulgent.

More or less self indulgent then those who don't think using appropriate topics applies to them?

This should probably be in Chat

😆😆

OrdinaryAva · 07/01/2023 11:35

@WashAsDelicates or people who do a review & say they haven’t tried it on or used it, but they’re sure it’s gonna be great. Pointless!

JamSandle · 07/01/2023 11:35

Just gloss over those posters. What's the sense in replying to a thread about something you aren't interested in?

SoupDragon · 07/01/2023 11:37

Isn't telling people what/how they should and shouldn't post also being the thread police...? 🤔

Its a mystery I need solving

Was coming to say this. Ironic really. But then I've always felt people needing to "police" anything on Mumsnet perhaps need to either apply for a job at HQ or get a hobby. They must spend such a lot of time being all humphy because the site doesn't do what they want it to.
