to do something for my neighbour?

I have a neighbour (young couple) who I say hi to if we pass each other. They are due to have their baby in a few weeks, and wondered if it would be odd if I made them something/got them something, despite not really knowing them? If so, what do you think? Perhaps a meal (pasta bake and crumble or something?), or a voucher for COOK meals?

Cook vouchers are a great idea! They’ll probably get loads of baby things and a meal they don’t have to cook themselves will be really welcome.

I moved into my house when I was 12 weeks pregnant. Said a friendly hello to the neighbours when I saw them but didn't even know their names! One popped by with a baby grow and a card with her phone number in and said to call if I fancied a coffee (I did!) And the other called by with a little body shop bag of treats for me and a card. Such a lovely thing to do and we've always gotten along and had little chats outside since.
Both got full frontal boob upon gift dropping though. Ah the first days of establishing feeding and unannounced visitors. 😂
