Anyone else struggling to shake off a cold?

Had a cold on and off since beginning of December.

Nothing else wrong with me, as I had an asthma check at the GP a few days ago and she got the ANP to check me out when I told her how long I’ve had the cold but no tonsilitis or chest infection. Just a horrid cold.

I seem to have a few days where I appear to be recovering but have a blocked nose then suddenly, I’m back to coughing and sneezing constantly. I’ve had a few asthma attacks that have needed a couple of puffs of my blue inhaler which I haven’t used in years.

Sometimes I can barely eat as I don’t feel hungry so I’ve lost weight – which is no bad thing as I needed to anyway.

I again today feel awful, and will probably have to take the day WFH, and if I’m worse again tomorrow take the day off. I’ve had 5 days off with it since December.

I just can’t seem to get rid of it. I’ve always taken a multivitamin, drink orange juice every morning and bar a cup of tea with lunch I only ever drink water at other times.

I just want it gone. Bar the well managed asthma which entitles me to my flu jab each year (which I had in September) I’m usually healthy, I do get colds but they last the usual 10-14 days and don’t seem to get worse again once I’m through the worse or unsettle my asthma.

Anyone else?
