Me and DD2 always wake up in the morning and have a cuddle in bed whilst I drink coffee and we watch an hour of milkshake before starting for the day.

What's going On?? It used to be blue, Sam, Thomas and peppa. Now its blue and program's I've never even seen. DD not impressed and to be honest neither am I!!

AIBU to think just leave the scheduling as it was??

Do you mean annoyed? Yabu to expect things to never change and also to watch an hour of TV with a 2 year old every morning

toomanyhobbies · 06/01/2023 07:00

Sorry but what’s the colour blue got to do with it? Do you mean the logo or type of programs are for boys?

schedules change, cbbc used to announce their changes for a few weeks before so you could be prepared.

DoNotGetADog · 06/01/2023 07:01

Oh CHANNEL 5! I was expecting it to be about the perfume!

EnyoClytemnestra · 06/01/2023 07:02

Why is this in aibu.
Who cares for christ's sake? Enough issues in the world to worry about. In a couple of months your child won't give a ff about a tv schedule!

Blue is a programme 😀

Wow to the replies you've had so far! When my son was younger we used to love Milkshake in the mornings so I feel your pain. An hour in bed watching tv with a two year old and having cuddles sounds dreamy - ignore the judgey response about that!

Krakenwakes · 06/01/2023 07:05

What is blue, or not blue? Who are Sam and Thomas?

Goingforplatinum · 06/01/2023 07:05

Sorry, curser keeps moving and the screen keeps moving down so I can't see what I'm typing 😔

I wonder if your DD will soon be old enough to be introduced to Countdown on repeats early morning on Channel 4. Even making short words could be a good thing for her.

I get why a routine such as this being changed is not ideal and certainly why DD is unimpressed. However, this could be turned into a positive, do something different early in the morning. Many people struggle with change and disappointment and it is not too early to begin to be aware of this, could be a benefit in later life.

BigSandyBalls2015 · 06/01/2023 07:08

First response ….. classic MN 🤣🤣, did used to take a bit longer though.

I am one of these people that hate a change in routine so I get your point.

Ohhhh I never thought of countdown, I like countdown.

I used to watch tv with my children in the morning. I particularly remember Bear in the big blue house with one of them. I would love those times back but also can remember being irritated by programme changes so I'm totally with you!

SmokeyPaprika · 06/01/2023 07:13

Bluey the cartoon

Mine are 9&11 now but I still remember how painful it was when the schedule changed (cbeebies, couldn't stand the adverts on milkshake).

Ponderingtosk · 06/01/2023 07:28

Blue is annoying, he’s just awful, bring back Rainbow, Hectors House and Raggy Dolls. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

PumpkinDart · 06/01/2023 07:32

I'm jealous my 2 year old won't sit still long enough to cuddle and watch one cartoon never mind an hour 🤣

It's the only time of day she will, normally she will watch something for all of 2 minutes before she's off again. That's why I make the most of the morning. 😁

Yes! I remember when Baby Jake moved to a different time on CBeebies, three out the whole morning.

Love the judgy poster who clearly thinks you should be straight on the salt dough and wooden blocks at stupid o’clock.

Me too.

Needmorelego · 06/01/2023 08:34

Oh this brings back memories 🤣
Used to use certain programmes as a clock so if the schedule changed it would mess the morning routine up.
I remember dashing to school a bit late and saying something like "sorry we're late - they changed the time Peppa is on and she wouldn't leave the house" and the teacher said "Oh I understand... don't worry" !!

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 06/01/2023 08:50

U thought this was about the perfume as well

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 06/01/2023 08:50
