To think it's fake?

I got some perfume for Christmas, but it's not cellophane wrapped. It's just in a box with a white sticker sealing it shut. What's that about?

Reducing single use plastic?

I've never had perfume without the wrapping and I might also think it was fake if someone gave that to me. Is it an unusual brand though? I've only ever had the sort of perfume you get in Boots!

could It be a regift or from a charity shop?

Why would that be any indication that it’s fake? If they can fake the bottle, the box and the liquid inside then they won’t struggle to fake a sheet of generic clear plastic wrap. It’s a very strange assumption to come to. I’m also pretty certain the Chanel No5 I bought from House of Fraser wasn’t plastic wrapped.

I've had perfume before that wasn't cellophane wrapped and was literally just a box, was genuine

It says check the cellophane wrapping on this^^. So I don't think it's completely bonkers to be suspicious about perfume with none. Not to say it is fake or anything, but I can see why op is wondering

Where did they get it? Unlikely to be fake if it’s from John Lewis or somewhere.

I don't know where they got it...just seems a bit odd to have the box sealed shut with a plain white sticker.

Schuh have plain cardboard boxes in case the branded ones get damaged in transit. Maybe this is the same?

Who's it from and what is it supposed to be?

If it is a random perfume that they chose for you (as opposed to what you usually wear/asked for) I would assume they received it as a gift themselves, opened it and didn't like it.
