Constantly sick for 2 months?

as the title suggests I've been constantly sick now for about two months. It's like a bad cold / flu and it just won't go away.
in the last week I've also developed a constant headache that paracetamol isn't touching.

I feel really silly making a doctors appt because they'll say it's just a cold you have to ride it out but I'm so tired of being ill! But I also don't want to waste time going to a gp if they won't do anything :/

Could be an ear infection? My mum had this and gp said she is seeing a lot of adult ear infections as a secondary to cold/flu this year. It didn't even occur to my mum she might have ear infection!

Pretty similar 3 colds and a tummy bug. Not sure if it's one or multiple viruses, but feeling better now after 3 months.

I saw my GP last week because I had a hacking cough and frequently feverish (I had several years of coughs and sore throats always developing into bronchitis, and had been in hospital in December)
he confirmed it was a virus and not bacterial, but said to go back if it didn't improve. advised should always get medical advice if a cough persisted for more than four weeks.

Go to the doctor and make sure you haven’t developed a secondary bacterial infection. Also ask for some tests of your general health and immunity, if possible?
I hope you feel better soon. I’ve been ill most of the time since 9th December with cold/cough that has now morphed into flu. I think there’s a really virulent bug around.
