Having guests when you are suffering nausea?

I ate some leftover roast chicken from my new years day meal in a sandwich yesterday and a few hours later I developed discomfort in my stomach and nausea. I haven't had any vomiting or diarrhea but I've had bad stomach pain and nausea all night. I have thrown the chicken away but I'm also worried I have picked up the sickness bug going about.

I tend to think that it's the chicken but I'm not sure if I should have my guests later. They will be really disappointed if I cancel but I don't want to pass a vomiting bug onto them. If I am not having any vomiting is it safe to have them over?
