Bloody Amazon prime no subtitles

I've restarted, rebooted, deleted and uninstalled the stupid app. TV, tablet, phone all not working now I can't hear shite and watch my programs I'm angry but also upset. Anyone else help or advise a solution. I just feel really isolated at times like these being deaf 😭

What happens when you click the CC button? Does it 'light up' (sorry, I don't have Prime but assume it highlights when you click it).

Does the video you want to watch actually have subtitles? They’re the worst offender for not having subtitles from the services I use. No amount of reinstalling will make them appear if there aren’t any.

I would think so because OP referred to them as "my programs" so probably something they watch regularly and suddenly stopped working for some reason.

Hi yes it's "without a trace", also "special victims unit" . Some episodes where a bit glitchy now it's not working at all 😭.I don't think anything lights up. But I click the on off icon. I've used subtitles for years think 888 on Teletext (showing my age 😉)

Yes those should have subtitles, just checked. The subtitles settings vary by device, usually somewhere in accessibility or profile settings. I agree Amazon chat would probably be able to point you in the right direction.

I know, I mean it's not the dark ages of TV! It's just hard especially as Americans speak so fast! Only so much I can pick up. And my hearing aids don't connect to the TV so no luck there either!

Im not hard of hearing but would be lost without subtitles everyone mumbles or speaks so fast.
Interestingly was watching some older programmes 80/90s could hear every word without subtitles.
