I can't be bothered to do anything

I feel like I've given up on life.

We are in debt. Our house is messy. We just can't get organised.

I have a roast to cook for later and can't be bothered.

We have one child with SEN and he's delightful but our lives revolve around managing the condition and supporting him. The other child doesn't have SEN but he finds his brother hard.

I have a mountain of paperwork to sort eg applying for DLA for my son etc.

All of the new year messages are just making me feel sad.

Concentrate on one thing at a time.

You’re having a hard time & you have lots on, it’s no wonder you can’t be bothered, can someone help you with making dinner or doing your paperwork?

mamabear715 · 01/01/2023 13:48

Get help from Citizen's Advice for DLA form filling, they are wonderful.
Start sorting one drawer, one corner of a room at a time. If anything's sellable, list it to help with the debt.
Leave the roast until tomorrow, grab a sandwich & start sorting. You'll feel much better when you're taking action. Hugs..

I think a lot of people feel like you now. I also think once you are back in a routine and the kids are at school you will feel better! It's a funny time of year.

I have been feeling something similar over the last few weeks and I don’t have anywhere near as much to manage as poster. Be kind to yourself OP x

It’s a horrible time of the year - the kids have been home forever - there’s a ton of new crap which needs to go somewhere, everyone’s over eaten and sluggish, the weather is shit.

how do you eat an elephant….? 1 bite at a time

Just do the roast today

Tomorrow just do 2 pages of paperwork

This is it, I'm dreading back to routine as my SEN child finds it so difficult. He comes home and is violent and deregulated. It's hideous trying to support him through it.

I'm just sat on the sofa looking at the mountain of mess. DH is brilliant. He left me to nap earlier but he's now napping. I'm feeling very alone
