This is bad

OP posts:
NameIsBryceQuinlan · 01/01/2023 11:59

Nothing used to help mine. Just sleeping and trying not to vomit.

AuntieMarys · 01/01/2023 12:02

Can't be as bad as my wine/ baileys/ black sambuca one last week. Veggie sausage rolls and pringles worked for me

Insaneinthemembraneee · 01/01/2023 12:03

Tomato juice
Banana milkshake
Coke
Crisps, toast, sandwiches something to soak the alcohol up 🥴

Elvira2000 · 01/01/2023 12:08

I go the opposite way to alot of advice here: no carbs. Boiled egg, greek yoghurt, salad. For some reason carbs make me way worse.

Exercise too, followed by sleep.

buddy79 · 01/01/2023 12:15

Alka seltzer has always worked for me, failing that lucozade and paracetamol, crisps, toast and fresh air…sometimes a nice hot cuppa but go gently as sometimes it goes bad!!

stopbeeping · 01/01/2023 12:16

Anti sickness tablets and sleep

pandwa · 01/01/2023 12:23

I'd say Coca Cola and a couple of codeine tablets and back to bed (or lye on the sofa with Baby tv on)

ColourMeExhausted · 01/01/2023 12:32

Suffering here too...solidarity OP! About to have some pringles and full fat coke...in the grips of the absolute beer fear.

Teatime55 · 01/01/2023 12:56

Lie on the sofa, put cartoons on, throw snacks at child occasionally.
Do they still nap?

gogohmm · 01/01/2023 12:57

Greasy food or smoked salmon

Prevention. No-one forced it down your neck, and it is not as if it is the first time you have celebrated New Year.

I think your advice comes around 24 hours too late!

It might seem hard OP but force yourself out - take dc on a chilly walk (do not let them sleep) the fresh air will do you both good and similarly wear you both out so you can both come home and have a nap. The days I'm forced out I always feel better in the long run however awful it feels at first

LuciferRising · 01/01/2023 13:02

What did you drink OP?

Soluble Solphadeine Max, Cherry Coke, marmite on white toast. Nettle tea. Take out.

What the heck. I don't drink and I still wouldn't have said that. Fgs

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 01/01/2023 13:07

Fat coke and energy tablets if you have any. Some toast.

Iamacatslave · 01/01/2023 13:08

@mowly77 Diazepam for a hangover ? Who is prescribing your Diazepam?

Tintackedsea · 01/01/2023 13:14

I have just had a can of coke and a bacon sandwich. I'm considering seeing what standing up feels like. I'm pretty sure it's not going to go well. Our last guests left at 6 am. I'm not cut out for this these days.

If you happened to have some it would definitely help - not ideal with a 1 year old in tow though 😆

NotAnotherBathBomb · 01/01/2023 13:31

Dioralyte

anon1968 · 01/01/2023 13:40

@winningeasy not a cure for today, but for future prevention. Milk thistle tablets, one before you go out, one when you get in. I’ve took them for years and now don’t suffer. I can still tell i’ve had a drink but nothing that stops me getting on with the day x

Emmaaa1990 · 01/01/2023 13:42

A poo, a shower, fizzy drink & a burger 😂

winningeasy · 01/01/2023 13:53

Regret list

2 cans of beer
2 gin and tonic
Half of Guinness
Hot negroni
2 glasses of fizz
2 glasses of barolo
A pint of lager
Spicy margarita
Gin and tonic

Bed at 3am

winningeasy · 01/01/2023 13:55

@liveforsummer haha Valium would be lush but feel like I need to stay slightly on the ball

@Teatime55 yes thankfully naps between 12-2 so we've just ordered a McDonald's - needed

OP posts:
winningeasy · 01/01/2023 13:58

Also did a poo, that helped
