Sorry - posting for traffic.

I took two ibuprofen (somehow) not realising. Feel very worried. Should I try and make myself sick? Haven’t taken any before and obviously won’t take any more.

Don’t make yourself sick but do call your labour ward/ maternity triage for advice.

Don’t make yourself sick.

can you call 111 or your midwife service for advice? or a pharmacist?

unlikley to be an issue but they may want to do some checks.

I agree with this, some people are actually advised to take ibuprofen due to certain situations during pregnancy so it's not always 100% the worst, just remember it was an accident and things like this happen all the time.
It's wise to seek advice from 111, it may be nothing but at least a nurse or dr can speak with you about it and check your medical records to see if it will have any implications.

Have left them a message. Will never forgive myself if something happens to him.

It’s worth getting checked but I suffered from headaches in pregnancy and paracetamol did nothing so the mw told me to take ibruprofen if I needed to.
But if you are worried do get proper medical advice

Call the maternity triage. They will help you and hopefully calm your nerves. You won't be the first or last to make this mistake. Don't beat yourself up.

Hope all is okay for you and bump!

motleymop · 31/12/2022 21:34

How are you getting on @Mistakepregnancy ? Did they call back and calm your worries?

Mistakepregnancy · 31/12/2022 21:43

@motleymop yes, she seemed very relaxed and said up to 32 weeks it’s nothing to worry about but two tablets won’t be an issue anyway. Didn’t want me to come in.

Will still worry though! And the tears have made my headache so much worse 😣 Thank you all.

Oh good - I'm glad they got back to you quickly and reassured you. It'll feel better still tomorrow after you've slept, I expect.
