Can I leave this until tomorrow?

Sorry posting for trafficBlush

I bought fresh mince meat from the butchers yesterday, it's in a sealed plastic bag. I had planned to make a lasagne with it today but I really can't be bothered. Will it be ok to leave until tomorrow to cook it? I'm not sure how long mince from the butchers lasts in the fridge as there's no date on it, it's just in a plastic bag.

Thanks

Yes, it will be fine.

If you are worried about it, why not stick it in the freezer then defrost tomorrow ( i'd 100% be ok with leaving it tho)

It'll be fine tomorrow, I generally allow 3 days for butchers meat.

BingleBongleBoo · 31/12/2022 14:45

If you hadn't bought it, it'd still be in the butchers fridge tomorrow.

I could do - how long would it take to defrost though? I plan on cooking it in the morning so would need it defrosted by then.

Take it out of the bag, put in a bowl. Let air circulate around it in the fridge.

I think mince is the type of meat you can tell just by looking at it because it turns grey if it's bad...
But I also cook mince from frozen so maybe I'm not the best to listen to 😁

I absolutely would not do this! Leave it in the sealed bag til you use it.
