Help with Emma bed assembly

I’m hoping the wise folks of mumsnet will help with this one! We have just had an Emma Ottoman bed delivered with no assembly instructions. Typical useless bot as an excuse for customer service and have emailed customer services but they will take ages to respond.

We have checked online for assembly instructions but there are only instructions for other beds.

I’m hoping someone else will have a set of instructions at home that they can pdf!!

I have just had an Emma ottoman bed delivered…with NO INSTRUCTIONS. Did you ever receive any because I cannot get through to them. No phone number and they say they will reply to emails in 48 hours!! We are sleeping on the old mattress on the floor in the meantime. If you have any instructions would be really grateful if you could upload them Thanks

I'm the same. I've nearly finished. But it's taken all day and I used YouTube and various other instruction manuals. I think I'll get there in the end. I'm quite practical.
How did you get on in the end? I'm stuck with a wooden batton, I know where it goes but I don't know its purpose.

@Debsbolton what a coincidence. We thought that about the wooden baton too but screwed it in anyway! All done now and think we’ve done it properly. Just sort of figured it out via similar on YouTube

Finally Emma have agreed to a full refund after them sending two lots of instructions, neither of which applied to the Ottoman bed we ordered. YouTube were no good as there are no instructions for this particular bed and we are not very DIY minded and it also says on the website that the guarantee is invalid if the bed is not made up exactly according to instructions.
Have now ordered another ottoman bed from John Lewis, which is nearly £200 cheaper (despite the Emma one being supposedly half price) and they assemble it for you in the room of your choice at no extra cost. We’re kept the Emma mattress!

We’ve had exactly the same experience as you. We are stuck with the lifting mechanism. We loosened the nuts as instructed but the instructions were not clear. The bed is not coming down and we’re not sure what to do. We emailed them and this is the response received.

However, we don't have a video on how to assemble it as it's already on the instruction I have sent you. As much as we would love to, we don't send someone from our team to help you assemble this item.

Did you get sorted with the lifting mechanism? My Emma ottoman bed just arrived and the lifting mechanism seems to be fused together? No instructions arrived with the bed either 🤨

I searched the whole internet looking for the manual as the QR code on the packaging did not work. You literally saved my Day!! Thank you so much, kind soul from the internet

You have to put the mattress on the bed frame. The extra weight is what is needed in order for the lifting mechanism to work. Once the mattress is on the bed you can easily lift it up or down
