My DH got me the latest Apple Watch for Christmas and wore it on my left wrist it's not the band/ strap that's hurting my wrist it's actually the back of face of the watch I took it off my left wrist and put it on my right and now that wrist feels all bruised does anyone else find their Apple Watch hurts them ? I don't want to not wear it and look ungrateful but at the same time it's hurting.

Have you simply got the strap too tight? I’ve been wearing an Apple Watch for over three years and have had no problems at all. I would suggest going into your nearest Apple Store and asking their advice. Maybe you need a different strap.

Definitely wearing it too tight, what strap have you got?

You’re wearing it too tight. I found with the official watch that one notch was too tight but the next out was too loose. I bought a cheap strap on Amazon and it had a better mid-notch option and I’ve had no issues since.

I purchased a stainless steel strap for my Apple Watch from Pretty Straps. However the skin on both my wrists has broken out so this cannot possibly be ss. Even although they insist it is. Does anyone know where I can purchase a good stainless steel strap?

This happened to me and it was really sore. I wondered if it was the sensors affecting my wrist as it’s where the back of the watch touches definitely not the strap. I stopped wearing it at night to give my skin a break and I’m fine now. If you want to monitor sleep this isn’t an option but tbh I’ve decided I either sleep well or I don’t and the watch telling me won’t make any difference either way 😀

It does sound too tight. My watch band is the woven stretchy one - it comes in different sizes but it is more forgiving simply because there is some stretch. I’ve not had any problems with bruising in 3 years.
