Day to yourself

The days between Christmas & New Year are a bit strange! If you had the day to yourself what would you do? I feel a bit lazy reading / watching films but the weather is rubbish and I want to try and have a good day!

I would read, nap, talk to the cats. Eat nice food

its not wasteful

I has this yesterday, I read a book, binge watched something I couldn’t with the kids around, did some of my craft hobby and rested. It’s not wasteful. If you’re anything like he you’ve spent time making Christmas special for everyone - I needed a day off, so I took one.

Maybe cook something different that takes a while. Pick one cupboard to re-organise / de-clutter. Go to an indoor place to exercise (eg the local swimming pool). Go to the cinema. I wouldn’t personally feel guilty about lying around watching Netflix and reading a magazine or book for a day though as I work full time and never do that normally!

I would go for a 6 mile walk and a swim then I'd tidy the house and put a wash on. Then I'd had a lunchtime nap guilt free as I'd have done some exercise and the house is clean.

Weather is awful here too but I love being out in the rain!

Don't feel guilty do what you want. I've spent time watching films/netflix, reading, long baths and I have tidied up and put some washing on in between lol 😆

Honestly I'd do a small project (we're finishing bits from house renovation) and then have takeaway dinner and watch TV or have a bath. Mix of productive and relaxing

I think these are the only few days of the year when you're really 'allowed' to do nothing, so enjoy!
