Doc Martin, sky lanterns

I'm sure people are aware how bad sky lanterns are for wildlife and the environment and I know it's only a programme but I feel miffed that they let had them in the Christmas special instead of saying no and explaining why.

Oversight on the part of the writers etc.

They shouldn’t have shown it, wonder how long ago it was filmed though.

Seeing as one burned up and set a tree on fire, I wonder if the program gave the correct impression of them! Dangerous things...

To be fair they did demonstrate one of the reasons why they should be banned.
