To ask if the spa at Centre Parcs is worth it?

DH has a big birthday in a few weeks and after a hectic Christmas and just general life with a toddler we were thinking a spa day or weekend would be just the ticket.

I have heard amazing things about the Aqua Sana spa at Centre Parcs (Longleat closest) but I've just priced it up for an overnight stay and it's £750 for 2 days spa use plus a massage each which seems very expensive.

Could anyone vouch for it?

Look elsewhere

Lolacat1234 · 27/12/2022 19:05

Not worth it.

GereWeGoAgain · 27/12/2022 19:06

It really is a lovely spa. So many different rooms, lots of places to curl up with a book. The spa restaurant is a bit rubbish in comparison as most spas of that quality are attached to amazing hotels so that was disappointing but unsurprising really. The treatments are also a bit overpriced and again nowhere near the standard you get in most spas of that quality. The spa itself is wonderful though. Do be aware it can get very busy though and is almost always at capacity during the day.

Oysterbabe · 27/12/2022 19:08

We always book the spa when we go and it's lovely, definitely worth it imo.

Newpuppymummy · 27/12/2022 19:08

It’s a lovely spa but not worth that much

rwalker · 27/12/2022 19:09

Went to one of them for for spa day
gym sauna steam and treatment got it in offer £140 for both for day was ok but certainly wouldn’t of paid more

NoSquirrels · 27/12/2022 19:10

The Aqua Sana spas are really lovely if you’re going to Center Parcs anyway, but I most certainly wouldn’t pay £750 just to go.

RebeccaCloud9 · 27/12/2022 19:11

Could you book a spa day there and stay at a much cheaper hotel nearby?

Covidwoes · 27/12/2022 19:13

@FrostyPaws I'm not sure if this is too far away, but Nirvana Spa in Berkshire is amazing. There isn't a hotel attached, but I'm sure there are plenty nearby.

TippledPink · 27/12/2022 19:13

Agree with others, it's a lovely spa but wouldn't pay just to go to Centre Parcs for it, only did it as I was already there for a hen do. Really enjoyed it though, I love a good steam room and there were so many!

I’ve been to a lot of spas across the UK and I genuinely think that it is up there as one of the best. The Woburn one (the only one I’ve been to) is fantastic. People are snobs and so will deny it, but it’s won awards for a reason. That said, £750 is a lot of money and I’m not sure it’s worth that!

Shamoo · 27/12/2022 19:14

(Ps the Spa Suites at Woburn are glorious)

PoinsettiaPosturing · 27/12/2022 19:14

Look at The Belfry near Birmingham - they have multiple rooms, Michelin starred dining and stunning landscapes as it's a high end golf club

Mybestyear · 27/12/2022 19:14

Had the worst massage of my life at oasis whinfel in September- I posted at the time that centre parcs has massively deteriorated in terms of quality and service over the past 10 years or so. Spa so not worth it IMHO.

Hazey19 · 27/12/2022 19:15

Yes it’s lovely but in my opinion the one at Ribby Hall is even better (and cheaper) if this is anywhere near you x

DobbyTheHouseElk · 27/12/2022 19:16

The therapists are college students on min wage. Unqualified, but training.
You won’t ever find a decent therapist at a spa. Because they pay peanuts.

HowForNow · 27/12/2022 19:16

I think the spas are good but I would spend that much on the spa breaks, they always seem overpriced. You might be better booking a standard chalet and then adding spa treatments a on. Or doing just a spa day at aqua sans and booking local hotel nearby.

FrostyPaws · 27/12/2022 19:32

Thanks for all the other suggestions I will look into each of them.

There is a really nice hotel local to us so I had a look there and they are charging £300 each for the overnight break + use of the spa and that's with no treatments so it's obviously on par with something like that price wise, but there looks like so much to do at CP rather than just the standard jucuzzi and sauna.

Would it be crazy busy on a random Friday in January do people think?

baffledcoconut · 27/12/2022 19:35

That’s Barnsley house money. I know which I’d be booking. Or lucknum park. No CP.

SnowSnow · 27/12/2022 19:39

We have done the spa suites at Woburn CP a few times for special occasions and found it brilliant. I have since been to Nirvana Spa near Wokingham and a couple of hotel spas and they are just nowhere near the level of CP in terms of amount of rooms etc.

Tiltedandwilted · 27/12/2022 19:42

Definitely not worth it, they charge an arm and a leg for spa stays and treatments.

id look on spa seekers, as most nice hotels do overnight packages with at least one or two treatments for £100-£200 on average

cynicat · 27/12/2022 19:42

We go to aqua sana Elveden quite a lot for £120 pp for the day, it's nice and lots of rooms, but no way I'd pay £750 for it.

unclebuck · 27/12/2022 19:45

I do not rate it at all - ok as an add on if you are there but look at Ragdale Hall or any proper spa hotel instead.

Isitthathardtobekind · 27/12/2022 19:49

I’m assuming you aren’t too far from CP. if that’s right, this place is lovely although the spa is much smaller.

Lucknam Park is also meant to be really good but expensive.
In terms of a spa, CP has more than many do.
