Next door neighbours have installed a hot tub directly beneath my bedroom window. They are incredibly noisy at the best of times so this is pure hell.
At 12AM this morning, they filled it up and were having a loud conversation, staying in it for over an hour. This morning, back in it and shouting loudly again. Aibu to be losing the plot and to be angry that my day off is being ruined? Not to mention that I am highly irritable as had just a few hours sleep due to it all.

Buy a petrol strimmer and leave it on tick over right next to the fence

Open the window and engage them in conversation every time they use it.

I’m sure mumsnet can come up with some excellent conversation starters for people in a hot tub.

to kick off:

compliment their bathing attire - bonus points for passive aggressive complimenting of random body parts you wouldn’t normally share with neighbours.

ask them if they’ve heard about x who got a flesh eating virus from using hot tubs, question them in detail about the cleaning routine.

alternatively, speak to them about it but I guess if they were the sort of neighbours who would listen then they wouldn’t be the sort of neighbours who would set up a sex pond under your bedroom window.

Is it inflatable? Pop it. Throw bird seed round it and let us know what type of birds you have in your area. We get a lot of seagulls and magpies where I live.

I guess it depends on your relationship with them OP, but could you not go and speak to them informally and ask them to keep the noise down?
