DD has had a £10 voucher from a friend of the family. It doesn't have any money on it, I think it probably hasn't been activated at the till. Would you ask the friend for the money or just let it go?

YABU-let it go
YANBU-ask the ff for the money

I knew someone who would do this because 9 times out of 10 the receiver would not query them and it looked like they had given a present

I'd tell the giver. They may have bought more than one, and need to know there's a problem. I know when I bought gift cards, they told me they were activated at the checkout and gave me receipts.

I’d let my friend know as they’ve spent £10 on nothing. If it was me I’d send the child another voucher or £10 cash
