I love it. Leftovers, beach walk, good telly, books.

No pressure, no stress.

TheLittlestLightOnTheXmasTree · 26/12/2022 17:22

It's a great day for taking down the tree and decorations that's for sure!!

thelobsterquadrille · 26/12/2022 17:23

YABU, one of my favourite days of the year.

No expectations, no fuss, no cooking necessary - just relaxing.

Purplecatshopaholic · 26/12/2022 17:24

You totally ABU. Bloody love BD. No stress, chilling with films I would never normally watch, eating all manner of left overs and more chocolate than is sensible, doing very little. Ace!

mbosnz · 26/12/2022 17:24

Me too. Put a few boxes away, tidy up a bit of mess, left over sandwiches, no pressure to do nowt. Good books to read, good wine to drink, kids old enough to sort themselves out. . .

Aquarius1234 · 26/12/2022 17:29

I prefer Christmas Dinner so much more.
And opening presents better tv.

As I’m getting older I struggle to socialise on Christmas Day and Boxing Day. I love a busy boozy Christmas Day and a quiet Boxing Day to recover.

stargirl1701 · 26/12/2022 17:36

Best day of the year. I feel at my most relaxed. New book by the tree and fire, listening to lovely carols, wee nibbles, Christmas gin, a wee sherry to look forward to later!

twistyizzy · 26/12/2022 17:38

Nope, Boxing Day is much better than Christmas Day. Way more relaxed and just a day to chill out.

I love it. Leftovers, beach walk, good telly, books.

No pressure, no stress.

Exactly this!

familyissues12345 · 26/12/2022 17:40

I really enjoy it, it's always been our day with DH's side of the family and it's much more relaxed than Christmas Day

BarrelOfOtters · 26/12/2022 17:42

love Christmas Eve, friends, a walk..planned so no cooking. Boxing Day….great leftovers, a walk, no need to do anything much….lie in…catch up on tv from night before…love both those days.

Christmas Day Is nice.

DreamingofItaly2023 · 26/12/2022 17:46

Love Boxing Day. So relaxed and loads of good food and gifts are still new and exciting.

Coasterfan · 26/12/2022 17:50

Boxing Day is great, a lovely chill out day with no expectations! We do a low key Christmas Day just the four of us so it’s not stressful but I love having nothing I must do on Boxing Day. DS and DH have been to the football and me and DD have watched some movies at home and are now having a buffet tea. We are busy until 2nd January after today and have had a mega busy December so a do nothing day is great!

MysweetAudrina · 26/12/2022 17:51

Love all the days. Every day off work is a day to savour and enjoy. Big walk with the dogs, leftovers and napping. What's not to like?

sunglassesonthetable · 26/12/2022 18:06

Love Boxing Day. The chill after the storm. All the good reasons mentioned above.

user1496146479 · 26/12/2022 19:03

I much prefer my dinner on Boxing Day!! Tastes better & much more relaxed

Duchess379 · 26/12/2022 20:40

I prefer it to Xmas Day tbf 🎄

Aquarius1234 · 26/12/2022 20:45

Wow so no one prefers Xmas Day? Or Xmas Eve?

I usually think Boxing Day is boring but today my sister came up and we had tickets to the pantomime and then did some shopping.
In lush it was 50% off everything Christmassy so I was in heaven- all in all it has been a very enjoyable day.

GetTheGoodLookingGuy · 26/12/2022 21:18

Christmas Eve is the best day - loads of baking and preparation and excitement and it feels all Christmassy.

Boxing Day feels flat and far too close to January!

Stompythedinosaur · 26/12/2022 21:47

Boxing Day is wondrous - my family have gone away, the fridge is full of leftovers and I can piss about doing whatever I fancy.
